Frequently Asked Questions

What is Hijama and how does it work?

Hijama, or wet cupping, is a traditional holistic therapy that can stimulate the immune system, improves circulation, and promotes the body’s natural healing mechanisms.

Is Hijama painful?

Most sisters describe the sensation as a light scratching or a slight pinch. The therapeutic benefits and the feeling of lightness afterward far outweigh the temporary discomfort.

What measures do you take for hygiene and safety?

Your safety is our priority. We use strictly single-use, medical-grade sterile equipment. Our practitioners follow rigorous sanitation protocols before and after each home visit.

How should I prepare for a home visit?

We recommend fasting for at least 3 hours before your session (water is fine). Please shower beforehand and wear comfortable, loose clothing. Ensure there is a quiet, private area in your home where we can set up our portable massage table.

What is the aftercare process?

For the next 24 hours, avoid heavy exercise, direct sun exposure, and dairy. It’s important to stay well-hydrated and rest to allow your body to integrate the healing benefits.

How do I book and pay?

Booking is simple—just call or text us at 646-940-2058. We will discuss your needs and schedule a time. Payment is simple too: we accept pay-in-person via cash or digital transfer at the completion of your session.
